52-Year-Old Northridge Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle near County Line Beach
MALIBU, CA (July 10, 2018) – A Northridge man was killed Tuesday evening after he was struck by a vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place shortly before 8:45 PM, near County Line Beach. 52-year-old Kehinde Oguntoyinbok was attempting to cross in an area with no marked crosswalks when he was struck by a northbound 2011 Chrysler van.
Firefighter units and emergency medical crews arrived at the scene between Neptune’s Net and Tonga Street. Oguntoyinbok reportedly sustained fatal trauma before he was officially pronounced dead by medical crews. The driver of the van was unharmed from the crash and remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigators.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the van driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision. No one was arrested or cited for the incident. It was also noted that the area was foggy as investigators worked the scene.
