1 Killed in Washtucna Car Accident
WASHTUCNA, WA (March 1, 2019) – A 29-year-old female resident of Soap Lake died in a crash with a semi on February 27 near Washtucna.
The WSP revealed that the crash occurred about 8:24 a.m. on Highway 26 at milepost 87.
According to reports, Kaylyn F. Bossert lost control while driving west on Highway 26, three miles east of Washtucna. Her vehicle drove across the eastbound lane of Highway 26 and crashed with an oncoming truck. The truck driver was unharmed.
The two drivers wore a seatbelt during the crash. However, the authorities reported that Bossert drove at a high speed despite icy conditions.
An ambulance brought Bossert to Colfax hospital where she later died.
