Danielle Wood Arrested in DUI Crash on State Route 2
Wenatchee, WA (June 11, 2023) On Friday morning, 67-year-old Kathleen Sanchez of Omak was hospitalized after a hit-and-run collision on Highway 2.
According to the WSP, the DUI crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on westbound State Route 2 north of East Wenatchee.
Reports say that 39-year-old Danielle Wood struck and injured Kathleen Sanchez and then fled the scene. Officials were able to arrest Wood in the 3700 block of NW Cascade St. in East Wenatchee.
Officials say that Wood initially was on SR 97 when she hit a guardrail, then turned back in the opposite direction, eventually hitting the driver’s side of Sanchez’s vehicle. The impact of the crash caused a 67-year-old driver’s vehicle to go off-road and crash into an orchard.
Authorities say that Danielle Wood will be facing charges of felony hit-and-run and DUI.
