Passenger Karen Bauer Dies in Solo-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 55 [Cape Girardeau County, MO]

Cape Girardeau County, MO (September 1, 2024) – 65-year-old Karen Bauer was killed in a solo-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 Friday night.

It was about 9:20 p.m. when the collision happened at 105 mile marker.

Eaker sustained moderate injuries, but his passenger, Karen Bauer, was killed at the crash scene.

MSHP said Eaker and Bauer were wearing seat belts when the collision happened.
