Kaleb Uriah Smith Arrested in South 38th Street Collision [Killeen, TX]

Killeen, TX (April 15, 2024) – 23-year-old Kaleb Uriah Smith of Killeen has been arrested following a South 38th Street collision Saturday.

The authorities responded to the 100 block area wherein a female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Immediately, the medical team airlifted the victim to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.

Meanwhile, as the officers were investigating the collision, a man called in and said he heard a thump and thought that he may have struck something.

Police went to the man’s location and located a Nissan Sentra with damage to the front end. 

Investigators said that after the collision, the man who was driving the car stopped briefly and saw cars behind him. He then left the area and called from his home.

The authorities arrested Smith for failure to stop and render aid. They booked him into the Killeen City Jail before being transferred to Bell County with a bond set at $800,000.
