Kaanapali Way Hit-and-Run Crash Injures Motorcyclist [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (February 23, 2024) On Thursday morning, a motorcyclist was hurt and hospitalized after the horrific Kaanapali Way hit-and-run crash.

According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the incident happened at about 10 a.m. on 2900 Kaanapali Way near 2200 Beyer Boulevard, near the area of Otay Valley Regional Park.

Reports say that a westbound white sedan failed to yield to a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling northbound on 2200 Beyer Blvd.

Officials say that the 29-year-old male motorcyclist crashed and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Medics transported the man to the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the incident and have classified the crash as a non-contact collision.

Meanwhile, officials say that the sedan driver fled the scene and police are actively searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.

SDPD is investigating the hit-and-run accident.
