Juwan Hedreece Dobbins Jr Killed in Brutal Single-Vehicle Crash on East Loop 338 [Ector County, TX]

1 Dead in Ector County Auto Accident on East Loop 33 and Yukon Road

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (March 10, 2024) – Friday night, Juwan Hedreece Dobbins Jr died in a brutal single-vehicle crash on East Loop 338.

The incident happened at 9:53 p.m. at the intersection of East Loop 338 and Yukon Road.

According to reports, 32-year-old Dobbins of Mesa AZ drove a 2007 Mercury Milan. After the crash, the male driver was declared dead at the scene. Meanwhile, his 31-year-old female passenger, Thalia Signal from Hobbs NM, suffered serious injuries.

Reports revealed that the driver had a significant quantity of fentanyl pills and had previously evaded law enforcement in Arizona. After the authorities found him in Odessa, a traffic stop was attempted by the Odessa Police Department and the University of Texas Permian Basin Police Department.

However, the suspect declined to stop and continued evading.

Then, the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers helped in the pursuit but eventually lost sight of the vehicle.

ECSO continued the chase, which ended when the vehicle went northbound in the southbound lanes of East Loop 338 near Yukon Road.

The suspect veered his vehicle into the dirt median to avoid crashing with other vehicles but lost control. Eventually, the car went airborne off the overpass, overturning several times. Then, the crash at the intersection of Yukon Rd. and East Loop 338 occurred, ejecting Hedreece.

Officers declared the driver dead, while Sigala was also ejected and was taken to the Medical Center Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
