Juveniles Killed in Dos Reis Road DUI Crash [Lathrop, CA]

Lathrop, CA (December 25, 2021) – On December 23, 16, and 17-Year-Old female passengers from Manteca sustained fatal injuries in a Dos Reis Road DUI crash.

The fatal collision happened at around 10 p.m. near the San Joaquin River.

Officers said a westbound 2008 Honda Accord driven by a 17-year-old male from Manteca didn’t stop where the road reaches the levee.

The Honda went through a fence and rested upside down in the river.

Right away, the emergency team extricated a 16-year-old female passenger, also of Manteca, from the car and resuscitated her.

Unfortunately, two of the passengers, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old both died at the scene.

The driver sustained minor injuries but was able to get out of the vehicle. 

Investigators consider alcohol as a factor in this fatal collision. 

Meanwhile, the officers did not release the identity of the involved people because all four were minors.
