Juvenile and Adult Man Killed in Crash on State Route 1 and Pescadero Creek [San Mateo County, CA]

2 Dead and 1 Missing in San Mateo County Auto Accident on State Route 1 and Pescadero Creek

 
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA (May 1, 2022) – Friday night, a juvenile and an adult man died in a crash on State Route 1 and Pescadero Creek.
 
The incident happened on State Route 1 and Pescadero Creek at Pescadero State Beach. According to reports, a Toyota driver failed to stop at the intersection. As the vehicle went through the intersection, it drove through the parking lot and towards the ocean. The vehicle fell to a 30-foot cliff and landed upside down in the water.
 
As a result, a female juvenile and a man in his 40s, both from Freedom CA, died in the crash. Also, a third person inside the car went missing.
 
CHP handles the crash investigation. However, they haven’t determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
