PACIFIC GROVE, CA (July 20, 2020) – Sunday morning, a juvenile sustained injuries after Volkswagen crashes into home on Pine Avenue.
 
According to reports, two people occupied the Volkswagen that had crashed on Pine Avenue and Eardley Avenue. A family of 3 was inside the house when the vehicle rammed through the walls. As a result, a young boy sustained injuries.

The officers revealed that the vehicle drives at a high rate of speed down Pine Avenue. Then, the driver lost control as he tried to turn onto Eardley Avenue and crashed into the house.
 
“I immediately ran out of the door to see what was going on,” neighbor Austin Schilstone said. “There was a lot of commotion and a woman lying on the ground. I heard someone also yelling about how a 13-year-old boy was in there and was hurt.”
 
The female occupant of the car sustained injuries and went to Natividad Medical Center. Meanwhile, the conscious yet injured boy was airlifted to the Bay Area.
 
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene. However, the authorities later spotted him at a nearby park and detained him. The police will book him into the Monterey County Jail on charges for felony hit and run.
 
Furthermore, officers confirmed that the front end of the house was damaged.
