Alaska Man and Tacoma Woman Die in Pickup Truck Crash on Beach Near Westport
GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA (January 16, 2018) – Two people died late Tuesday night about 10:01 PM, just north of the Bonge approach, according to the Washington State Patrol.
41-year old Justin M. Neidiffer of Petersburg, Alaska and 29-year old Trisha L. Loney of Tacoma, Washington were driving northbound on the beach in a black 2000 Ford 7350 pickup truck, when they struck and hole.
The truck went airborne and continued to role on the beach, just south of Twin Harbors State Park. Patrol officers and emergency personnel pronounced both the driver and the passenger dead on the scene.
Investigation from officials states that Loney was wearing a seat belt, and Neidiffer was not. Authorities believe that substance use and speed were contributing factors to this deadly accident.
