Collision on South 56th Street and South Cushman Injures Truck Driver, Kills Justin Hale

 
Tacoma, WA (July 16, 2020)– A two-vehicle collision on South 56th Street and South Cushman killed Justin Hale on Monday afternoon.
 
The now-deceased victim was identified as Justin Hale, 39, a Gig Harbor man, according to Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
Police said that the fatal collision took place on July 6 at South 56th Street and South Cushman Avenue.
 
According to the report, Hale was driving a sedan when he suddenly crossed over the double yellow lines. Hale then struck a Chevy Silverado truck going the opposite direction, said Tacoma Police Department spokesperson Wendy Haddow. As a result, the victim died on the scene.
 
Haddow said a female occupant of the truck is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries due to the crash.
 
As of the moment, the cause of the fatal crash is still unclear.
