Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Pedestrian Crash on Fairway Avenue
REDDING, CA (June 2, 2018) – A man was injured early Saturday morning after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Hartnell Avenue.
The Redding Police received calls about a pedestrian collision at the intersection of Hartnell and Fairway Avenues. Officers responded to the scene and found 44-year-old Justice Larsen, of Redding, in the roadway with major injuries. Events leading to the incident were not immediately available.
As of June 27th, Larsen was still hospitalized and recovering from the injuries he sustained in the collision.
An extensive search for the suspect vehicle, described to be a silver 2015-2018 Buick Lacrosse, is still ongoing. According to the police, the vehicle should have a significant damage to the windshield and is missing a side view mirror. There is no description of the hit-and-run driver at this time.
Anyone with relevant information regarding the whereabouts of the hit-and-run driver and the vehicle involved, is encouraged to call Shasta County Secret Witness at (530) 243-2319 or Officer Stenderup at (530) 225-4200. A reward of $2,500 is being offered to anyone who can lead to the arrest and/or the conviction of the suspect.
