Julio Perez Identified as Man Killed in Overnight Car Accident in San Jose
San Jose, CA (May 28, 2020)– The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified Julio Perez as the fatality in a pedestrian accident on Tuesday night.
The incident took place on May 26 shortly before midnight on Bernal Road and Realm Drive in South San Jose.
Officer Gina Tepoorten said that a man was crossing the street when a Honda Accord struck him.
After that, a second vehicle, a Nissan Frontier struck the man again.
Responders immediately transported the victim to the hospital, but officials later pronounced him dead.
Tepoorten said that upon investigation, they found out that the man was not in the crosswalk when the incident happened.
Furthermore, the coroner’s office identified the victim, Julio Perez, 37, Friday morning.
