Julio Jimenez Injured in Fatal Collision on Interstate 5 [Whatcom County, WA]

Whatcom County, WA (August 9, 2023) On Tuesday morning, 25-year-old Julio Jimenez of Mount Vernon was hurt in a fatal collision on I-5 that killed 38-year-old Geremy Larson of Monroe.

Authorities say that the deadly motorcycle-vehicle crash happened at about 4:06 a.m. on Interstate 5, just south of Lake Samish Road near milepost 240.

Reports say that Larson was on a motorcycle, driving the wrong-way, heading south on the fast lane of the interstate, collided with the vehicle, Jimenez was driving.

Medics airlifted to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died. Meanwhile, Jimenez was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital.
