1 Person Hurt in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on West 14th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 18, 2023) – Tuesday night, Julio Flores sustained injuries in an alarming hit-and-run crash on West 14th Street.
The incident happened on May 16, at the 300 block of West 14th Street.
According to the Los Angeles police, a stolen black 2014 Kia Optima traveling at a high rate of speed struck Flores, who was riding northbound on a bicycle.
After the crash, the stolen vehicle stopped at the 200 block of West 31st Street where three occupants of the vehicle fled on foot. Also, another male drove the vehicle and abandoned it at the 300 block of 32nd Street.
Moreover, responders rushed the 14-year-old victim to a local hospital with severe injuries.
Furthermore, officers confirmed that the hit-and-run suspect is best described as a Hispanic male between 18 and 20 years old, wearing a black sweater, black pants, and black sneakers.
At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.
