Julio Aguillon-Hernandez Killed in Head-On Crash on Ramona Expressway [LAKEVIEW, CA]

Morning Head-On Crash on Ramona Expressway in Lakeview Kills 1 and Critically Injures Another

 
LAKEVIEW, CA (September 18, 2019) – A man died in a head-on crash Wednesday morning in Lakeview, east of Lake Perris in Riverside County.
 
The crash happened just after 6:00 a.m. on Ramona Expressway at 5th Street.
 
When officials arrived, they found two pickups trucks blocking both directions of the roadway. The vehicles were described as a burgundy Ford F150 and a red Dodge, and vehicle parts and debris were spread across both sides of the two-lane road.
 
One of the drivers, who was possibly ejected from his vehicle, died at the scene. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified him as 43-year-old Julio Aguillon-Hernandez.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the surviving driver to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Heavy fog reported throughout the area may have played a contributing factor in this morning’s deadly crash.
 
CHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
