43-Year-Old Julie Maldonado Dies in Webb Lynn Road Collision [Arlington, TX]

Arlington, TX (August 26, 2024) – Julie Maldonado, 43, of was killed in a Webb Lynn Road collision Friday night.

It was about 11:17 p.m. when the fatal hit-and-run crash at the intersection with South Watson Road.

Troopers said Kenneth Polk, 22, was driving an eastbound Dodge Charger on Webb Lynn Road when he ran a red light and struck a motorcyclist. Polk then fled the scene but the authorities later located and arrested him.

The motorcycle rider, Julie Maldonado, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. The authorities confirmed that she has died of her injuries.

Moreover, investigators believe Polk was intoxicated when the collision happened. Similarly, witnesses described his vehicle fleeing a different hit-and-run crash involving a mailbox at a nearby home. 

Polk is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter and collision involving death.
