1 Injured and 1 Arrested after Mendocino County Car Accident on Talmage Bridge
MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (June 11, 2020) – Authorities arrested Julie Legendre following a June 4 car crash on Talmage Bridge.
According to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived on Talmage bridge over the Russian River about 10:45 p.m. on June 4. They responded after receiving a call about a woman intentionally hitting someone with a car.
The 31-year-old Ukiah female victim revealed that she was outside of her vehicle, having a chat with her boyfriend. However, her acquaintance, 36-year-old Julie K. Legendre, pulled up in a vehicle.
She started having an argument with Legendre. Then, the suspect “began backing her vehicle towards the (victim)” twice. Legendre taunted her by hitting the brakes before she could hit her.
Then, the victim “swung a wrench at Legendre’s vehicle, breaking one of the passenger-side windows.” Due to this, Julie Legendre “accelerated forward and hit the victim with the driver’s side fender and mirror of the vehicle.” The suspect also struck the victim’s vehicle before she fled.
