Tucson, AZ (October 25, 2024) –  Early Saturday morning, 53-year-old Julie Billeter died in a hit-and-run crash on Speedway.

According to a TPD press release, the incident took place shortly before 3:30 a.m.

The driver involved did not stop and left the scene. TPD noted that “failure to turn safely by the bicyclist is the major contributing factor of the collision; however, leaving the scene of the collision is the primary focus of the investigation.”

The investigation remains active, and no charges or citations have been issued at this time.
