Julia Sanchez Hospitalized Following in San Diego Scooter Accident on Market Street

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 6, 2021) – Early Monday, two scooter riders suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Market Street and 13th Street.
 
The incident happened at 4:07 a.m. near Market Street and 13th Street. According to reports, a hit-and-run SUV driver struck a man and a woman, now identified as Ms. Sanchez, riding an electric scooter.
 
As a result, responders transported the victims to Scripps Mercy Hospital and UC San Diego Hillcrest.
 
The authorities described the SUV as an older white Ford Explorer that may have some front-end damages.
 
Also, the scooter accident led to the closure of Market Street due to the investigation.
 
Later reports say that police detained and questioned the male driver of the vehicle. As of now, his identity remains undisclosed.
 
Julia Sanchez suffered multiple serious injuries, and she is expected to undergo multiple surgeries to repair her knee.
