23-Year-Old Anaheim Man Killed after Crashing into Light Pole and Parked Motor Home near East Driscoll Street
LONG BEACH, CA (July 21, 2018) – A man was killed and a woman was critically injured, following a single-vehicle crash near East Driscoll Street.
According to Long Beach Police, the incident took place shortly before 8:00 PM on North Studebaker Road on Saturday, July 21st. 23-year-old Anaheim resident, Juan Serrano, was traveling southbound when his vehicle drifted to the left and slammed into a raised center median and light pole.
The two-door sedan then crashed into a parked motor home, before coming to a rest. Serrano and his front-seat passenger, identified as a 19-year-old Huntington Beach woman, were hospitalized with critical injuries. Unfortunately, Serrano succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead six days after the accident. Meanwhile, two Stanton women in the back seat were not injured.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
