36-Year-Old Oakland Man Fatally Injured in Accident near Tamarind Avenue
FONTANA, CA (March 27, 2018) – A 36-year-old man died in a pedestrian collision on West Baseline Road on Tuesday according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division.
At 8:21 PM, Rialto Police Department officers and emergency personnel responded to the scene of the collision at the 2500 block of West Baseline Road, after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a car in the area.
The victim was identified as Juan Rio Gonzales of Oakland. He sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:31 PM. There is no information on the events leading up to the fatal collision at this time.
The Rialto Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
