Christopher Kaltenbach and Martin Crowe Injured in Highway 12 Collision

Burbank, WA (June 18, 2022) – On June 15, at about 2:51 p.m., Juan Rangel, 73, of Pasco, Christopher Kaltenbach, 50, of Richland, and Martin Crowe, 58, of Kennewick, sustained injuries in a fiery collision on Highway 12.

Officers say a pickup truck driven by Juan Rangel was stopped in the left-turn lane of the southbound freeway. Apparently, it was waiting behind a semi-truck preparing to make a turn onto Dodd Road.

Crowe was driving a pickup truck and towing a trailer. He rear-ended Rangel’s vehicle forcing it into the semi-truck driven by Kaltenbach.

Immediately, the paramedics rushed Rangel to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland in serious condition.

Similarly, the rescuers also took Kaltenbach and Crowe to Kadlec in Richland.

According to the officers, the collision ejected Rangel from his vehicle while the two pickup trucks caught fire.

The authorities are investigating the fiery Highway 12 collision.
