Passenger Killed in Semi Truck Accident on Highway 43 and Road 108

 
TULARE COUNTY, CA (April 27, 2021) – Monday, a passenger died and Juan Mendoza Morales suffered injuries in a big rig crash on Highway 43.
 
The deadly accident involving two big rigs occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on Highway 43 and Road 108.
 
During the investigation, the officers found out that Juan Mendoza Morales drove a 1997 Ford south on Highway 43.
 
Then, he veered into the northbound lanes. Eventually, he went into the path of an oncoming semi-truck.
 
The big rig driver attempted to avoid the crash. However, the Ford sideswiped the entire length of the truck.
 
After crashing into the first truck, the Ford lost control.
 
As a result, it went directly into a second big rig. The crash led the 18-wheeler to overturn and landed on its side and fold into itself.

Consequently, a passenger in the Ford died in the crash. Meanwhile, the Ford driver sustained serious injuries and required hospitalization.
 
Meanwhile, both big rig drivers suffered no injuries in the Tulare County crash.
 
At this time, the authorities are still trying to figure out whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
