Travis Woodcock Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 50 in Kyburz

Kyburz, CA (July 12, 2021) – Thursday morning, a 40-year-old Sacramento resident Juan Lorzano died and Travis Woodcock and Christine sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 50.

The Kyburz fatal crash happened at around 2:20 p.m. on July 8.

The CHP said Lorzano was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra as he exited a curve in the roadway and allowed his vehicle to cross over the double yellow lines and into oncoming traffic in the opposite lane.

Meanwhile, the 2007 Ram 2500 driven by Travis Woodcock, swerved to the left in an attempt to avoid a collision but the two vehicles hit head-on in the eastbound lane.

The impact of the crash caused a massive intrusion into Lorzano’s driver compartment, resulting in his immediate death.

Moreover, the Gardnerville, Nev., family reportedly sustained some minor injuries with parents Travis and Christine taken to Marshall Hospital. 

Moreover, two children, ages 3 and 6, sustained no injuries.

Further investigation is ongoing.
