Juan Contreras Cabrera Arrested in Deadly Crash on Gertrude Avenue [Stockton, CA]

1 Killed and 1 Injured in Stockton Traffic Accident on Gertrude Avenue and Horner Avenue

 
STOCKTON, CA (November 16, 2021) – Sunday night, authorities arrested Juan Contreras Cabrera following a deadly crash on Gertrude Avenue.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 8:45 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of S. Gertrude and Horner Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed failed to stop at a stop sign. Then, it struck the passenger side of an SUV. The pickup driver, Juan Contreras Cabrera, and his passenger fled on foot after the incident.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the 84-year-old female passenger of the SUV dead at the scene. Paramedics transported the pickup driver, an 81-year-old man, to a hospital with major injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest Cabrera. He is now facing Felony hit-and-run resulting in injuries and death.
 
Meanwhile, officials believed that drugs played a major role in the crash.
