Juan Carlos Limon Killed in Crash on Sonora Desert Drive [Cave Creek, AZ]

Valley Metro Van Involved in Fatal Collision Near Cave Creek Road

 
CAVE CREEK, AZ (December 20, 2019) – The authorities confirmed that Juan Carlos Limon died in a crash on Sonora Desert Drive on Friday afternoon.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident happened near Cave Creek Road.
 
Reports showed that a Ford work truck driven by a 21-year-old man tried to turn left onto Sonoran Desert Drive when he crashed into a Valley Metro van driven by Limon in the intersection. After that, the van knocked into a utility pole.
 
59-year-old Limon was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to multiple injuries. Four other men in the van sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the work truck was uninjured in the crash and remained on the scene.
 
Impairment did not appear to be a factor. However, the investigation is ongoing.
