68-Year-Old Female Crossing Guard Hit by Car near Cortez Way
LODI, CA (October 16, 2018) – A woman was severely injured Tuesday afternoon following a pedestrian crash on West Vine Street. The victim was later identified as 68-year-old Joyce Henifin, a crossing guard at Lodi Middle School.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 2:30 PM near Cortez Way. Henifin was helping a teacher cross the road when an SUV rear-ended a stopped vehicle. The impact pushed the vehicle forward, causing it to hit the crossing guard.
