Jotham Gant of Irvine Killed in Motorcycle Collision on Shady Canyon Trail [Irvine, CA]

Irvine, CA (February 1, 2024) – 23-year-old Jotham Gant of Irvine was killed following a motorcycle collision on Shady Canyon Trail Thursday.

Two men were riding together on a Yamaha motorcycle south on Shady Canyon Trail near Quail Hill Parkway.

Suddenly, the driver lost control and the motorcycle slammed into a roundabout.

There is no information as to who was driving the motorcycle. 

The emergency responders declared Jotham Gant deceased while a second victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Investigators said neither man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

In the meantime, troopers are investigating the cause of the collision and said that it does not appear weather played a role.
