Josvelyn Renteria Dies in 2-Car Crash on Interstate 215 [San Bernardino, CA]

San Bernardino, CA (June 19, 2023) On Sunday morning, 11 year-old Josvelyn Renteria died after a 2-car crash on Interstate 215.

According to the CHP, the deadly rear-end collision happened around 12:18 a.m. n northbound Interstate 215 between Inland Center Drive and Mill Street exits.

Reports say that a black Kia Soul collided with the back of a stalled Honda Odyssey in the #2 lane. Officials say that the 29-year-old San Bernardino woman driving the Honda lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the center divider.

Meanwhile, a 46-year-old Victorville man driving a northbound Kia failed to notice the stalled vehicle and tried to avoid the vehicle, however, the vehicle still crashed into the back of the Honda.

Authorities say that Renteria was a passenger in the Honda, Renteria sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not disclose if there were any other injuries due to the collision.

CHP is investigating the deadly rear-end collision.
