Joshua Weber Arrested in Hit-and-Run Crash on Chestnut Avenue [Carlsbad, CA]

Carlsbad, CA (December 15, 2023) On Thursday Carlsbad police arrested 42-year-old Joshua Weber of Winchester after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash on Chestnut Avenue.

According to the Carlsbad Police Department, the hit-and-run crash happened Tuesday, December 12 around 3:30 p.m. at Chestnut Avenue and Highland Drive.

Reports say that Weber was driving a vehicle that struck a 15-year-old pedestrian at the intersection.

Officials say that the teen suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment.

Police say that Weber continued driving and left the area. Officials say that Weber was ultimately arrested in San Diego at about 12:45 p.m.

Authorities booked Weber into county jail in Vista.

Carlsbad Police Department are investigating the auto-pedestrian crash and have not given further details about the arrest.
