20-Year-Old Man Dies in Early Morning Crash on 605 Freeway in City of Industry
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (November 5, 2019) – A man died following a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in City of Industry.
The crash happened around 12:20 a.m. on southbound 605 Freeway, just north of 60 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused one vehicle to overturn down an embankment. It then plunged into the San Gabriel River, authorities said.
As a result, the driver of the overturned car died at the scene. Authorities identified him as 20-year-old Joshua David Quintanar. His hometown was not immediately known.
Two freeway lanes were shut down by police as they investigated the crash.
