3 People Hurt in Cass County Auto Accident on Interstate 49 and Mile Marker 173.9

CASS COUNTY, MO (August 22, 2024) – Monday night, Joshua Olsen and Jeny Dominguez sustained injuries in a disastrous vehicle crash on Interstate 49 and Mile Marker 173.9.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on southbound Interstate 49 at Mile Marker 173.9.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle attempted to pass a tractor-trailer but collided with the side of the truck. Then, the vehicle veered off the roadway and rolled over.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the 17-year-old male driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries while his two passengers, identified as 18-year-old Olsen of Harrisonville and 21-year-old Dominguez of Orlando, sustained moderate injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, the driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as 26-year-old Trayvon Parris, was not hurt in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued to investigate the crash.
