Alexis Little Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash at East Bidwell Street and College Parkway
FOLSOM, CA (April 9, 2019) – A man was killed and a woman was arrested following a DUI crash early Tuesday morning in Folsom.
The fatal crash happened around 2:00 p.m., at East Bidwell Street and College Parkway. Dispatchers arrived to the area soon after.
According to reports, a silver Subaru Forester carrying five people was involved in the collision. The vehicle allegedly struck a light pole before consequently overturning and landing on its roof.
A passenger in the front seat identified as Joshua Lowery from Folsom, was found suffering life-threatening injuries. Paramedics later pronounced him dead as a result of the impact.
Furthermore, the 21-year-old driver of the SUV identified as Alexis Little of Citrus Heights, and her three other backseat passengers, were eventually taken to a nearby hospital. They were said to be suffering from minor injuries, and they’re expected to make a full recovery.
Little was consequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. One passenger also told authorities that he remembered Little going fast and asking her to slow down. A witness also saw the car speeding before the crash.
All lanes on East Bidwell near Oak Avenue Parkway were closed for several hours for the investigation. Lanes were later re-opened roughly around 8:00 a.m.
