Joshua Jones Arrested in Modesto DUI Collision on Conant Avenue
MODESTO, CA (February 26, 2019) – A dad was arrested when he was found to be under the influence from a collision scene with his 2-year-old daughter.
According to Modesto Police Department spokeswoman Sharon Bear, 34-year-old Joshua Matthew Jones, of Modesto, was driving with his daughter when he struck another vehicle at Conant Avenue and Veneman Avenues in north Modesto at about 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19.
Jones took his daughter out of the car and walked away from the crash site, Bear stated. Authorities found him a few blocks away, carrying his daughter.
Bear said that Jones admitted to officers that he’d been driving with his daughter when the accident happened. Officers found him to be under the influence.
Jones was arrested on driving under the influence and suspicion of child endangerment.
