Joshua Hoover of Burbank Injured in Fatal Vehicle Crash on US 12 [Walla Walla, WA]

Walla Walla, WA (June 15, 2024) – Joshua Hoover, 37, of Burbank, was injured following a deadly vehicle crash on US 12 Thursday evening.

The fatal head-on collision happened on June 13 approximately 19 miles west of Walla Walla.

Troopers said 25-year-old Daniel Zarate from Kennewick was westbound on the freeway and overcorrected after leaving the roadway. His vehicle crashed head-on into an eastbound vehicle driven by Hoover.

Unfortunately, Zarate died in the collision. Troopers said he was wearing a seatbelt but Hoover was not.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the collision and if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
