Joshua Cervantes Dies in Avenida La Pata Hit-and-Run Crash [San Clemente, CA]

Officers Search for Suspect in San Clemente Fatal Crash

San Clemente, CA (June 8, 2022) – On Tuesday, at about 1:25 a.m., Joshua Cervantes, 40, of Capistrano Beach, lost his life in an Avenida La Pata hit-and-run crash.

The authorities immediately responded to the incident and located Cervantes with head and neck trauma. Unfortunately, he died at the scene.

Reports say the victim was riding an electric bicycle northbound near Avenida Pico when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Investigating officers found pieces of the vehicle at the scene and later located the unoccupied vehicle a short distance away.

Meanwhile, the authorities are still searching for the suspect driver.
