Joshua Auguh Dead in Horrible Hit-And-Run Crash on 51st Avenue [Laveen Village, AZ]

Police Investigate Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Crash on 51st Avenue and Baseline Road in Laveen

Laveen Village, AZ (August 8, 2023) – Sunday night, 34-year-old Joshua Auguh died in a crash on 51st Avenue and Baseline Road.

The hit-and-run crash on 51st Avenue happened around 9 p.m. on August 6.

Phoenix police said they found a man, identified as Auguh, lying in the middle of the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Investigators believed Auguh was crossing mid-block across Baseline Road when he was hit by a car.

At that point, Auguh tried to pick up his items when he was hit by a second vehicle. 

Both drivers took off, and witnesses rushed to call 911.

Investigators say they are actively working to gather more evidence but did not immediately provide a description of the two vehicles or the drivers involved in the hit-and-run.
