Homeless Man Identified as Victim Run Over by Paso Robles City Employee
PASO ROBLES, CA (September 19, 2019) – Authorities identified 27-year-old Joseph Zigler of Paso Robles as the man run over by a city vehicle, Thursday morning.
According to the Paso Robles Police Department, the incident happened at about 10:30 AM. A city employee was conducting maintenance in his utility truck near the 13th Street overpass. There, the utility vehicle ran over Zigler, who was lying on a dirt road.
The city employee immediately called the police to report the collision. Emergency responders arrived and pronounced Zigler dead at the scene. However, it is unknown whether or not the victim died as a result of the accident.
Officers ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the fatal incident. Anyone with more information can call Paso Robles police at (805) 237-6464. Authorities will release additional details to the public once they become available.
