26-Year-Old Desert Hot Springs Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Murrieta
MURRIETA, CA (October 4, 2019) – A man died in a motorcycle crash Friday afternoon in Murrieta.
The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on Tenaja Road near Clinton Keith Road.
Authorities said a rider was heading westbound on Tenaja Road at approximately 55 to 65 mph when he lost control of his bike. He failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, causing his motorcycle to overturn on a dirt shoulder. The rider was ejected from the impact and struck a metal sign.
As a result, the rider suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Riverside County coroner’s office identified him Monday as Joseph Perez, 26, of Desert Hot Springs.
Further investigation of this crash is underway.
