Joseph Ornelas of San Bernardino Dies in Rear-End Crash on Interstate 10 [San Bernardino, CA]

San Bernardino, CA (November 08, 2021) – On Friday, 31-year-old Joseph Ornelas of San Bernardino died in a rear-end crash on Interstate 10.

Emergency rescuers responded to the scene after 10:40 p.m., west of Tippecanoe Avenue.

When the rescuers arrived, they found Ornelas unconscious in the smaller vehicle. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he died at the crash scene. 

Officers said Ornelas was traveling on the freeway’s westbound lanes.

Then, the vehicle stopped near Tippecanoe Avenue.

Moreover, investigators believe the big rig operator failed to slow down and rear-ended Ornelas’ vehicle.

As a result of the impact, the big rig rolled down an embankment. 

Meanwhile, the authorities are still investigating this fatal crash.
