LAKEWOOD, CA (October 18, 2023) – Monday night, Joseph McConchie died in a horrific vehicle crash on East Carson Street and Clubhouse Drive.

The incident occurred at about 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of East Carson Street and Clubhouse Drive, said the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

According to reports, the 46-year-old homeless motorist crashed his vehicle into a tree. As a result, McConchie succumbed to injuries at the scene, said the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

Then, responders took the passenger in the vehicle to a hospital in unknown condition.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
