Joseph LeGrande and Andree Jamerson Dead in Interstate 680 Crash
DUBLIN, CA (January 11, 2021) – Sunday morning, passenger Joseph LeGrande and Andree Jamerson III, 20, died, and two suffered injuries in a fiery accident on the 680 Freeway.
The fatal crash happened at about 3:40 a.m. According to CHP investigators, a Volkswagen Jetta traveled south on the 680 Freeway, north of Alcosta Boulevard.
Then, it went off the road to the right and veered back, and crashed into the center median.
Afterward, the Jetta stopped sideways and blocked the left lane of the interstate.
Furthermore, a Ford Fiesta hit the Jetta, leaving both vehicles with major damages. Also, it caused the Jetta to catch fire, killing two occupants stuck inside, Joseph LeGrande and Andree Jamerson.
“When officers were responding, one vehicle was on fire,” revealed CHP Sgt. Andrew Murphy.
Another person in the Jetta sustained major injuries. Meanwhile, the Fiesta driver suffered moderate injuries. Responders transported both of them to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
Also, the incident shut down the freeway for more than one hour.
