54-Year-Old Marysville Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Collision near Noble Road
MARYSVILLE, CA (November 1, 2018) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash on the northbound Highway 70, early Thursday evening. The deceased victim was later identified as 54-year-old Joseph Legnon of Marysville.
According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:48 PM, near the Noble Road intersection.
As per reports, Legnon was riding his 2005 Harley Davidson when he crossed the double yellow line and collided with a southbound 2013 Chevrolet 2500. It is unclear why he swerved into oncoming traffic.
Responding paramedics transported the injured motorcyclist to the Rideout Memorial Hospital for treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. The driver of the Chevy, a 16-year-old teen from Marysville, was not injured in the crash.
No arrests have been made at this time, and drugs nor alcohol are believed to have played a role in the incident. Additional information will be released to the public once it becomes available.
