1 Fatally Injured in Fremont Pedestrian Collision
FREMONT, CA (March 23, 2020) – A 73-year-old man suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian collision on Mission Boulevard on March 19.
The authorities identified the man who passed in the crash the following day.
According to the police, they are still uncertain whether 73-year-old Joseph Hennessey used a crosswalk when the pedestrian collision on Warm Springs Boulevard occurred.
Reports from the police revealed that a Honda sedan driver struck Hennessey at about 6:00 a.m. while traveling north on Mission Boulevard. Mission Boulevard is also known as state Highway 238.
Police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques revealed that the crash scene was “very dark” when the accident took place.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The authorities are not pursuing any criminal charges as of this time.
Moreover, crews shut down Mission Boulevard in the northbound direction until 10:15 a.m.
