1 Hospitalized in Lake County Motorcycle Accident on Highway 20 and Crump Avenue
LAKE COUNTY, CA (July 28, 2021) – Monday afternoon, Joseph Ambrose sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 20 and Crump Avenue.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 3:15 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 20 at Crump Avenue.
Reports revealed that a westbound black and red 2004 Yamaha VXS1100 motorcycle traveled on Highway 20. Then, the rider laid down the motorcycle and collided with a silver 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to reports, the pickup had stopped in the double-left turn lane at the intersection with Crump Avenue.
Furthermore, the impact ejected the motorcycle rider, 31-year-old Joseph Ambrose, to the roadway. Paramedics transported Ambrose to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital via helicopter with major injuries.
Meanwhile, the Dodge driver, 60-year-old Paul McGrorey suffered no injuries in the crash.
Moreover, officials confirmed that Ambrose wore a helmet at the time of the crash. Meanwhile, McGrorey wore a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
Also, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles, as these riders are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
The Rising Numbers of Accident in the US
As common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a motorcycle crash.
The most valuable step you can take in response is to hire a personal injury attorney.
“Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery while securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring. A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers.
