Pedestrian Killed in Rose Avenue Accident
Oxnard, CA (May 11, 2024) – Josefina Romo, 67, of Oxnard, was killed following an Oxnard Boulevard pedestrian accident Friday morning.
Officers said it was before 5:25 a.m. when Romo was crossing Rose Avenue.
At the same time, a 58-year-old Oxnard man was driving a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup southbound on Oxnard Boulevard. Suddenly, the Oxnard man struck Romo.
Romo lost her life at the crash scene.
Moreover, the other driver was not injured in the collision. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Officers do not consider speed, alcohol, or drugs, as contributed to the collision.
