Sebastopol Man Killed, Jose Rodriguez Involved on Highway 101 Crash

 
Santa Rosa, CA (January 29, 2021) – On Thursday, 31-year-old Jose Rodriguez of Santa Rosa was involved in a fatal crash on Highway 101.
 
The incident happened at around 9:35 a.m. north of College Avenue.
 
Apparently, the crash involved a Chrysler 300 in the middle lane of the freeway and a Nissan Versa that was to its right.
 
For unidentified reasons, the two cars crashed with each other, and the Nissan spun out of control.
 
Subsequently, the Nissan struck a guardrail on the highway’s right shoulder before it crashed down an embankment along the College Avenue offramp.
 
Authorities pronounced the Nissan’s driver, a 58-year-old Sebastopol man, dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, Rodriguez, the Chrysler’s occupant, did not sustain injuries from the incident. He remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Authorities said neither driver was suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.
 
Moreover, the authorities withheld the name of the Nissan driver.
