1 Dead in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Sunset Boulevard

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 27, 2019) – A 60-year-old male pedestrian died after a hit-and-run driver struck him on Sunset Boulevard.
 
The LAPD revealed that they received reports of the crash before 5:30 a.m. on Sunset Boulevard and Douglas Street.
 
The authorities believe that 60-year-old Jose Mario Vaquero ran into traffic as he attempted to catch a bus on his way to work. Jose Mario Vaquero died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the hit-and-run vehicle is a dark-colored Honda that was seen on a surveillance video before the fatal crash. The crash left the car’s front bumper at the scene.
 
“You probably just panicked, freaked out, but I’ll hear you out,” LAPD Detective Moses Castillo stated. “We expect for this Honda to have some severe front-end damage, maybe under the carriage of the vehicle. And it also has dark, tinted windows.”
